I've been coming to the South Point hotel for around fifteen years for a work conference, but this is the first time I've been able to visit Primarily Prime Rib. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. They're located on a mezzanine tucked away from the casino. This reminds me of an old school steak house. Cozy booths, tables not too close to each other, dimmed lighting, well dressed wait staff, domed plates, table side service for certain dishes like the salad and baked potatoes. This would be a nice place to celebrate a special occasion. There isn't a dress code, but I felt a bit underdressed in a T-shirt and capris. I wish I had packed something a little more suitable, but one said anything to me. They brought a little loaf of bread with cutely shaped butter when we were seated. We ordered a shrimp cocktail which only had four shrimp. They are big shrimp though. The cocktail sauce could have used a little more horseradish, but was still good. I ordered their smallest prime rib which is the 10 ounce South Point Cut. The meal came with soup (split pea or the daily) or salad and potato (baked or mashed) or veggie. I chose the salad and it was prepared table side. The salad was hearty and wasn't just a dish of lettuce. I like Caesar dressing and was a little disappointed that they don't have it. The ranch dressing was good. The beef was good and came on a deep plate with the au jus. Both types of horseradish were given without request and that was an appreciated touch. I chose the baked potato and it received the requested fixings table side. My dining companion wasn't terribly hungry and ordered a bowl of their soup of the day, which was cream of potato. He reported that it was good. This was a very good meal all the way around. Tip: If you're staying at the hotel, there is a coupon for a free glass of wine at this restaurant. I chose the Cabernet Sauvignon and it was very good!

Had a really nice birthday dinner at Primarily Prime Rib last night! Started the meal with mushrooms in a cream sauce and crab cakes--wonderful!!! I got a traditional cut of prime rib and my parter had the cowboy cut with seasoning. We both had house salads and baked potatoes. Finished the meal with a complementary ice cream and ordered an extra crème brûlée, because why not. We're not drinkers so the whole meal cost us $140 plus tip. Our sever was Steven and his back waiter was, I think, Ricardo (hope I got that correct)--they were both friendly and efficient. I live in centennial so the drive here was long, but if I lived in the area, I'd 100% be back often!

This is a great restaurant to go to for a nice steak dinner at a more affordable price located right in South Point Casino. It's tucked upstairs and has an old school steakhouse type vibe but with modern finishes. It's hues of red were perfect for the holiday season and it was tastefully decorated. As I've found with most Vegas restaurants, the service was great, always very attentive and the wait staff is really good at their jobs. They have a pretty good list of menu options and decided to get what they are known for, prime rib, along with filet mignon. I didn't try my dining partner's prime rib but heard it was juicy and pretty tasty. As for me I got the filet mignon, crab cake and vegetables that was prepared just to my liking, however I could've used less sauce. In addition, each entree comes with a starter option and a side. For us we chose salad and a baked potato, both of which were prepared before our eyes with table-side service. It was a little heavy on the dressing so perhaps next time I will ask to get the dressing on the side. Definitely recommend if you are in the mood for some prime rib and/or other cuts of meat.

Even with most restaurants raising their prices and decreasing portion size, Primarily Prime Rib still offers a very good dining experience for a fair prices. Yes it's not located on the strip but it's worth the drive to not pay an arm and a leg. The casino has free parking something that is rare on the strip. Restaurant is cozy old chic vs modern but clean. Tables are not too close to each other so makes for a more pleasant meal where you are not cramped. They have different size cuts starting with a 10oz. Prime rib was cooked exactly as ordered and tasted perfectly delicious. Both drinks and dessert are also fairly priced. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly.

Came here for dinner the night before the NFR Rodeo. This place was packed. Luckily we had reservations. I ordered the Blackened Cajun Prime Rib. It was very tender and the spices were perfect. Started with the Idaho Potato Soup. It was very creamy with chunks of Potatoes. Ordered my Prime Rib with the Baked Potato with everything (is there another way?). Again it was delicious. The Prime Rib came with two kinds of horseradish, both were pretty mild but paired well with the Prime Rib. Finished it off with the Brown Betty for dessert. When we got the bill it was under $100 for the two of us (each of us had a soda, entree (which included soup or Salad, prime rib, and baked potato), and a dessert. Service was a little slow, but the place was packed. So not too bad considering how crowded it was.
